Sarah Molaro

Sarah founded Yoga Well in March of 2014 as a place to serve independent teachers, healers, dancers, learners, and peace creators.

Sarah’s Yoga practice began in Grass Valley in 2002, where she was born. She fell in love as she found local teachers that taught her mind opening concepts, and physically rejuvenating practices. Sierra College provided her first teachers, and Yoga became a major highlight in her AA Liberal Arts degree. Her practice continued and flourished as a safe haven during early motherhood as a regular peaceful retreat of slowing down. As her path unfolded, in July of 2011, she made her way to Mount Madonna, in Watsonville, Ca. and immersed herself in a 200+ hour Yoga Teacher Training with Baba Hari Dass, and his many students of 40+ years. There she received a solid and clear foundation in the roots of Yoga, and a real connection to new and familiar practices. Sarah has studied with Mount Madonna every year since and received her name ‘Vijita’ from Baba Hari Dass. She attended 25 hours in The Art of (Yoga) Adjustment Training with Kamalesh, and 30 hours in Tantra Methodology with Mount Madonna’s Shantam. Sarah has received 80+ hours of training in Trauma Informed Yoga(TIY) with Firefly Yoga International, and (TIY) and Ayurveda with Holistic Trauma Recovery between February 2017- May 2018.

The Ashtanga, Tantra and Hatha paths are the main influences in her work as a yoga student and teacher. These paths explore the deep roots and eight limbs of Classical Yoga. The most recent developments to her practice include exploring Acro-Yoga and she is truly enjoying the challenges and sharing the benefits with beginners. Through practice and numerous teachers, Sarah has developed a deep understanding of Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. These practices of Yoga are here to serve everyone’s abilities. All Yoga is designed to bring humans back into a oneness in spirit, in individual lives, and in the lives of the greater community. All practices bring community together. Every practice affects every practice. Sarah teaches to learn better yoga, and to invite others into a sacred union with their peaceful, self healing abilities.

Sarah enjoys teaching adults and kids, group and private sessions, and workshops in asana, pranayama, hand mudras, and meditation. Sarah also teaches yoga for high school yoga students at a local charter school and loves serving her community with a healthy dose of self care through yoga. She  offers hands on healing and Reiki sessions at Yoga Well’s healing room.

Sarah’s ballet and dance background began in 2005 at Sierra College with Lovie Bucknell. She furthered her training at local studios with Hollie McGovern, Barbara Chatalain, Suzy Kight, Azreal LaMarca, and The Movement Alliance. She began teaching beginner ballet students in 2009. Sarah co-directed a performance dance group called Ballerinas Unbarred from 2011-2013, contributing choreography and shared management. In Fall of 2016, Sarah co-founded Nevada County Dance Collective and continues to co-direct the emerging company alongside Hilary Jordan. Yoga Well supports NCDC rehearsals, and Sarah still offers ballet to beginning students, with mindfulness techniques to posture and safe dance art.

Sarah will be developing and leading a Yoga Wellness 200hr Teacher Training in September, October and November of 2018 at Yoga Well in Grass Valley. Sign up now and get started early with weekly practice!
